No Excuses Watercolor: 6 week eCourse
Class Begins February 5, 2017
6 week course with 2 or more lessons each week.
Weekly interactive live video classroom.
Whimsical, wonderful, fluid, frustrating, intimidating, hard to control –
WATERCOLOR! Most people love the look of watercolor but are so fearful to give it a try because it is like herding cats! I have found that my approach to watercolor can be almost Zen like once you have given in to its beauty and let it do its own thing. Watercolor does have a mind of its own so the key is to let go of the tight grip of control and just go with it! In many ways it is just like life; the more you push the harder it is and when you allow yourself to move forward with trust things seem to fall into place.
There are many styles of watercolor painting that follow a traditional approach – mine is not one of them! I like to explore and experiment in a fun and fast way so that it is like playing with color. My techniques are loose and fluid and allow you to find your own way and style. I want the paint to express itself and show its personality. This style of painting is about letting go and freeing up!
So if you have always wanted to learn the art of watercolor this is the class for you! Based on the same techniques as the companion book by North Light Publishers " No Excuses Watercolor" May 2015 this class is a great way to dive in and get started in an easy and fun approach.
This 6 week course covers everything you need to know to get you on your way. You will get yo know your paints, discover different drawing and sketching techniques and learn a variety of skills through fun exercises to help you find your own style.
Not only will you have NO MORE EXCUSES for not painting in watercolor - you'll fall in love with it!
You will receive a confirmation email upon receipt of ecourse with pertinent log in information for your records.

I already have the book why should I bother taking the ecourse?
The book and the ecourse do cover some of the same exercises but many people need to see the whole process to feel comfortable. All of my courses are shot from my point of view so its like you are sitting right there with me instructing you ever step of the way. I feel that the best combination is to have book as a reference guide as a companion to the ecourse.
I have a busy life and am not sure if I can keep up with the schedule of the 6 week ecourse?
The course doles out about 2 lessons each week however you can always revisit any of the past lessons whenever you want. The ecourse begins Feb 5 and ends March 19. You will have until AUG 19TH to return to any lesson as often as you want until then.
I have already taken the course is there any value in taking it again?
Yes, the video lessons are the same, however; each time I teach the class I alter the homework subjects and give an advanced assignment as well. Practice is the key to watercolor!
What if I can't make the LIVE weekly video chat?
I try and set up a time that works for the majority. I obviously won't be able to accommodate everyone's schedules but will do my best 😉 The video chats are NOT recorded as the download file is literally huge. I do post a Chat Review after each session with highlights and links.
Do I need art experience to take this course?
Absolutely not! My approach is an easy one that provides guidance and inspiration whether you are a complete beginner or a seasoned pro.
